We offer a range of Laughter Leader Training options designed to suit the needs of individuals, groups and organisations.

We currently offer 3 Laughter Leaders training options:

1.   Community Laughter Leader Training; for those wanting to set up a community laughter club in either their local area or their organisation. This program is also popular with those interested in gaining an in-depth understanding of the laughter program.

2.   Organisation specific Laughter Leaders Training; for those wanting to set up an ‘in-house’ Laughter program that will meet the specific needs of their organisation.

3.  Age and Disability Specific Laughter Leaders Training; for those wanting to present a laughter program suitable for those who are older, frail or with limited mobility, for use in the community support field or in age or disability care support centres. This program has been specifically developed by Let’s Laugh is currently the only Training Program of its type in Australia.

Laughter Leader Training is available in 3 formats:

1.  Attend a Let’s Laugh Laughter Leader Training day at our venue.

Great for individuals wanting to train as Laughter Leaders or wanting a greater understanding of the Laughter Program.

Age and Disability Specific Laughter Leaders Training days are run as required, usually at a venue in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. Contact us to put your name on our booking list.

Already trained as a Laughter Leader and want to update your skills? Contact us for details how you can benefit from attending a low cost refresher course through one of our community training days.

2.   Bring us to you, where ever you are.

If you have a group of 5 or more, or are after a training day specifically for your staff, volunteers or community members, we can bring the training to you on a date that suits you and your group.  Training as available as either a single day of 8 hours or 2 half days.

3.  Become a Training Host Partner.

Bring the Laughter Leaders training program into your community as a Training Host Partner.  Training Host Partners enjoy free Laughter Leader Training and have the opportunity to raise funds for their local community. Training Host Partners include local community, health, education and business groups.  Contact us for all the details of how you can become a Training Host Partner.  

All Let’s Laugh Training Program curriculums include:

  • an overview of the international Laughter and Laughter Yoga programs
  • the history of therapeutic Laughter and the Laughter program
  • the proven benefits of Laughter
  • the core of the Laughter program and how and why it works
  • maintaining the integrity of the Laughter program
  • simple and effective Laughter techniques
  • the do’s and don’ts of the Laughter program
  • skills for being and effective Laughter presenter
  • simple Laughter exercises and presentation skills that work with a range of participants
  • plenty of time to practice the Laughter exercises and your presentation skills
  • opportunity to develop your own Laughter exercises while maintaining the integrity of the program.
  • The content of some components of the curriculum may vary depending on the Laughter Leader Training program option.

About our Laughter Leader Trainer :

Let’s Laugh Chief Happiness Officer, Bron Roberts is one of Australia’s most experienced and popular Laughter Leader Trainers.  She is experienced not only in training leaders, but also in running engaging, effective and fun-filled community, corporate and age care and disability care laughter programs. 

Bron was one of Australia’s first fully certified Laughter Leader Trainers, training in 2004, under the personal guidance of Dr Madan Kataria, founder and developer of the International Laughter and Laughter Yoga Programs. In 2005 she up-dated her skills, again under the personal guidance of Dr Kataria, and in 2006 became the first Australian Laughter Leader Trainer to assist Dr Kataria as a ‘Laughter Leader Trainer - Trainer’. Also in 2006 she was given the honour of being named as one of Dr. Kataria’s first International Laughter Ambassadors.  In 2007 and 2008 she assisted at the Australasian Laughter Conferences with conference co-ordination, as a speaker and as an MC. Bron up-dated her training skills, again under the personal guidance of Dr Kataria, in August 2008.

Since 2004 Bron has run the weekly community laughter club in Mitcham, in Melbourne’s eastern suburbs. 

She has assisted in two research studies into the benefits of Laughter programs, one in the corporate setting and the other in aged care.

She is the developer of the only Age and Disability care specific Laughter Leaders program available in Australia and the author of the Age and Disability care specific Laughter Leaders Training Manual, and is currently developing, at the request of Dr Madan Kataria, the Australian version of his popular Laughter Leaders Training Manual.

Bron has also been a community trainer and educator for the past 10 years.
